Invisibelt Review and Giveaway

So this unassuming little piece of plastic might just make me hate pants less. Here's why:

Because of how I'm shaped, this is what happens whenever I wear ANYTHING with a fly front. I get some popping out action from that little bit of cloth just above the button.

And it doesn't look like much, but believe me when I say that it is DEEPLY annoying. It prevents me from having a smooth silhouette any time I wear fly-front bottoms. Which is why I generally avoid and abhor them

Enter the Invisibelt.

Flattens that sucker right out. You can see the clasp in the first photo, and although it's pretty flat itself, I find it even MORE effective to tuck the clasp off to the side and just place the thin plastic strip across the pant/skirt closure.

Quite a difference, wouldn't you say? But now for the real test: Let's untuck that shirt.

Ahhhh, beautiful flatness of fly. Not saying it's the perfect solution, especially as tightening it causes some mild pooching on my sides (which is disguised here by my outer shirt), but it really is going to change how I wear pants. I am PSYCHED, peeps.

I know I can't be the only one with the Popping-Out Problem, so I've got an Invisibelt to give away to a lucky reader! Just leave a comment on this post by Midnight CST on Sunday, August 9 and I'll draw the winner at random during the following week.

I've been wanting one of these ever since I heard about them! I think just about every woman has this problem with pants.

K.Line said...

I have never seen anything like this! Is there a solution for everything these days? :-)

Suz said...

Wow, awesome. I don't like to wear belts usually because they are bumpy under the long-ish shirts I usually wear. This one looks like it could work!

Um. YES.

I want it. Pick me, pick me!

Love invisibelts! Wish I would have been creative enough to invent them!

Vanessa said...

I honestly don't know why something like this wasn't invented sooner! When I saw the first picture, I thought "I bet it's not going to be very invisible on," but I was completely surprised that it seriously was! I have the same problem, so I'd definitely be quite pleased to win this belt *hint hint*.

I have never seen this before and it looks amazing! I always have that pop out with my jeans and when I wear shirts over the belt line it shows through. It would be so nice to not have that look. I would love to win this! :)

I'm in, and I'm feelin' lucky.

This looks awesome! I would love to try it.

Allyson said...

Ok, never heard of that before, but I think that I absolutely must get one (or win this giveaway!)

I've always thought that invisibelts were kind of silly but you have me rethinking it. I have that fly-front problem as well. Thanks for this opportunity.

Shrinky Inky said...

wow *slaps forehead* what an amazingly simple idea to resolve a completely annoying problem!

Tara said...

I thought I was the only one who had that problem! I'd love to have one!

I just started a teaching job, and I noticed that I've been getting holes in my some of my shirts from where they rub against that sticking-out part of my pants. If this really works, it would save my work shirts!

Lesa said...

I would love to have this, I am starting to teach again after a leave of absence for an illness and I have gained weight so I am very self conscious even though I am going to try really hard to dress more professionally..

I totally want one - I have the same problem!

Pranita said...

That's clever! I've been pushing my belt buckle to the side instead of the front for years, because of the same bulk issue. Also, i think twice about the belt buckle size, and would go for slimmer quiet ones instead of gigantic loud buckles. :) I'm trying to put my collection of belts to regular use.

Michelle said...

I've been wanting one for ages!! Good to know they're worth it :)

lizabeth said...

I wonder if the Invisibelt will also help with jeans that gap in the back waistband?

ilikedginger said...

I wonder if you could do this by attaching two of those clear bra straps that always come extra with bras together and using those as a belt.

Make Do Style said...

I think the belt is good if you are going to have a tee or jumper over the top but the popping out and the gap at back of jeans/trousers is caused by fit.

If you are wearing the wrong fit and I'm afraid this means it is due to your body shape - although off the peg clothes are mass produced so this doesn't mean you are the wrong shape just the fact there are compromises or limitation due to buying off the peg. If it pops at the front there is to much material at the front and this can be remedied by darts.

Gaping at the back is due to being either an hour glass or pear shape figure. The beauty of these shapes mean you have a gorgeous dip in the back before your behind. This is remedied by putting an inverted triangle in the waistband.

All pants/trousers can be altered - alterations are easy for tailors, dressmakers and you can learn them too!

I would want to wear it as a waist cinch :)

That fabric poking-out thing drives me BANANAS. Using an Invisibelt to solve it never occurred to me; you are officially my fashion genius!

I'd love one in a giveaway but if I don't win, I am totally buying one.

Cathy said...

I never considered the popping out to be a problem, just par for the course whenever I wore jeans...and now there's a solution? I need to try this invisible belt.

JessicaMM said...

I've been eyeing these myself for a while! I have the same problem (yay I'm not just strange)! I'd love a chance to win, but even if I don't I'll probably grab one up for myself.

Anna said...

I'm amazed by how well it works. I have the same problem and was thinking of getting one, but I just didn't think it would solve all my problems. Now if I don't win, I might have to go out and buy one myself!

KDot said...

Neat idea. I must have one. I have a booty and a small waist. It makes pant wearing difficult. This could help.

Christine said...

I'd love to try one of these out! I have the back-gap problem with many pants and I also don't like the bulk that belts give under shirts. Thanks for the great giveaway!!

Char said...

I thought I was the only person in the whole world who had this popping-out problem. I have this problem with button-front skirts AND pants. Would love to try the invisibelt.

Vildy said...

I like this idea for having a belt to hold the pants up - that spandex that is in everything does me in, pants start to sink - AND then being able to wear a shirt over with a belt on the shirt. Two belts but one hidden.

I have the same problem!

oh, man, i totally have this problem!

irotalot said...

Oy, that would be so useful! I love belts, but they always make my shirts bumpy. This looks like it might not do so.

I have to say, WANT.

DR said...

I so did not know about those! And I so think that this is genious:-) Thanks for sharing it and making someone happy. I found your blog recently and really like your positive attitude.

i would love to try this! i have tons of belts, but there's always that bump-age issue.

Judith said...

I've seen this before and considered getting one for the problem at the back of my waist. I've had the pop-out problem on some slacks but didn't know the Invisibelt would work for that too. Very cool----yes, I'd love one, thank you very much!

I've seen these before and have been thinking about getting one, but winning would be even better!

Kelly said...

I definitely could have used this yesterday - I panicked in the morning and ended up with a belt that gave me a HUGE bump in my shirt right at my belly button. Not my best look. I ran around looking like I had a belly button tumor all day!

I have been wanting one of these forever...!

I am always wearing belts to help my pants fit better and can't afford to buy a bunch of cute ones. This seems unassuming and functional. I love it!

This would be so so handy for me! I have a couple of pairs of skirts that I am fighting this problem with.

adrian said...

I have several pairs of pants that the Invisibelt could help with. Will help to look slimmer too. I would use this a lot.

I haven't heard of this, but I think it's brilliant. All of my extra weight is around my middle, which makes clothes difficult because my limbs are thin but then I pudge out of everything in the middle. I'm constantly on the lookout for "flat" buckled belts to pull in my waistband without creating a bulge. If I don't win this, I will definitely be ordering one!

evanadine said...

i have been wanting one of these for ages + have never gotten off my duff to purchase one! i would relish the chance to win one. :)

dewdrop said...

This is has been on my wishlist forever now Sal! If I don't win it here, I am seriously going to give this a buy.

Aimee C said...

Oh yes please!

Alexandra said...

Interesting! I've been skeptical of these belts in the past, but I get the EXACT same problem with the top of the fly on many pairs of pants and would love to see it disappear. I also find that despite the excessive amount of hippage I have going on, a lot of my pants slide down and create all sorts of muffin top. I have a skinny belt in my collection to keep this from happening as much, but it's more noticeable under untucked shirts than I'd like. Looks like the Invisibelt would take care of that problem too!

mbbored said...

Ooh! I want one! I might have to buy one if I don't win one, though.

Livet said...

It looks like the perfect belt. Where can I buy one? I hope they post to Europe. :)

Lady Cheira said...

Does it come in a large? I sure hope so...

Want! Need! :-)

gina said...

I have never heard of this before, but I'd love to try. I hate the popping out thing!

paranoidasteroid said...

So where does one buy one of these? I don't need to know (because clearly I am going to win the contest), but where did you get yours?

Angela said...

Bulky waistbands are the bane of my pants-wearing attempts. The invisibelt may be a nice solution.

e.marie said...

Totally have this problem too. I'm in.

that is the most genius thing I have ever seen. I'm so impressed.
