My favorite electric blue cardigan & yellow v-neck tee with classic black slacks. I think near-matching flats (fun faux-suede merlot) would tie it together!
Thanks for offering! :)

i agree with the others who said that this scarf would look great against contrasting colors, so that the scarf would pop against it. i would try it out with teal, orange, or mustard yellow, such as in this polyvore set: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=12625189

This is so beautiful! Risking looking like a Christmas tree, I think I'd go with a deep forest-y green. Either that or similar shades of maroon/deep purple for my new favorite 'analogic' color scheme :)

I've been trying to shake up colors more recently. Usually it's just denim jeans with a solid top primarily due to my lack of accessories. I think I would follow the color wheel from academichic and wear cream and blue.

Elissa Glyn said...

I would wear this with goldenrod! It's beauteous.

enna. said...

Ooh, I think it would look fantastic with some forest green. Or with deep purple and blue for a more tonal look. But that color looks amazing with charcoal gray too...so many possibilities!

I'm thinking charcoal gray, black boots.

I'd love a chartreuse shirt with the cream and wine colors of the scarf...

April said...

That is a beautiful scarf! I would wear it with yellow. I think that would make the wine color really stand out. A yellow top with jeans or a cord skirt and boots for casual, or my favorite khakis for work. I can also see this working with my white pants and a white top, lending a single shot of color to the outfit. I would accent that with silver.

Cal said...

I can be such a traditionalist sometimes...I'd throw it on with my black wrap dress so it would be the focal piece of the outfit. I love me some red and black and white :)

Sharon said...

This begs for a gray shirt worn with nicely tailored dark wash jeans. Black accessories would help the colors in the scarf pop!

Oh, how I absolutely ADORE this scarf! It would look amazing with a black boyfriend jacket, white tee, a pair of skinny jeans, and a great pair of high heels!

Sadly, it's a giveaway that's prompting my first comment :)
Sal, I love your blog, and particularly your very supportive and inspiring ruminations on how we can all learn to love our particular beauty...how it's really a daily engagement and challenge. Thank you!

If I were the lucky winner of this gorgeous scarf, I would wear it with gold and brown tones...I keep seeing it with my big amber glass pendant of my Oma's...maybe with some sort of teal accent somewhere for contrast.

Lindsay Y> said...

Black pants and a simple white top, methinks. I'd like to make that gorgeous scarf the focal point of an outfit.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Erica said...

This would go great with any rich blue color (royal, turqouise, etc) but would also look good with yellows. This would also look lovely tucked into my cream colored coat!

Frances Joy said...

Cobalt blue, turquoise, yellow....

I love it!

Kristen said...

I would definitely wear it with my hot pink pants, they're plain so they wouldn't over power the scarf. Plus I think pink would do a good job of bringing out and featuring the color of the scarf. And then probably a black shirt just to balance everything out and not go too over board.

ajita said...

I love our blog, its the first one I read every morning! I love this scarf too. I would def wear it with Azure and winter white.

Pat said...

I am sort of minimalist...I would want the scarf to stand out as an accent, so I'd wear it with a crisp white or grey button down shirt, black leather jacket, black skinny jeans, and black stiletto boots, and big silver hoop earrings. Or the same ensemble in winter white with a brown jacket, leather, brown leather or chain belt and boots.

Catalpa said...

I would wear it with emerald green, purple, or teal if I was feeling colorful that day. Or wear it with grey or navy on a quiet day.

Two Moms & A Baby said...

Georgeous!! I would probably wear it with black (boring). But, I think it would look best with navy or maybe a white classic!

PaperCrane said...

I think this scarf would really pop with navy or gray as a background :)

Laura said...

I'd rock it with an orange t or tank, dark jeans and a camel colored sweater.

Love it! I live in scarves -- ND is coooold!!! Love your blog too! :)

Qi said...

Since the wine is such a deep, rich color, I'd wear light, neutral colors, such as ivory or heather gray (specifically ivory top, gray or even black bottom so that the gray fringes don't get lost in the top).
