Land's End Canvas Review and Giveaway

You all know I'm a fan of Land's End - proud owner of their shirt dress in four colors - so when they launched their new Canvas line, I was quite excited. Land's End Canvas is aimed at a slightly younger demographic, with shorter hemlines and slightly lower prices designed to lure teens, college girls, and anyone who loves the preppy look into the LE fold. And the products are so darn cute, I'm not sure how anyone could resist them.

Land's End Canvas was kind enough to send me this Pleat Front Dress, now on sale, to check the line out for myself. As you can see, the dress is positively darling, a great cut, and a vibrant color. Construction is sound, with a second cotton voile lining the voile skirt and sturdy hems. It's pretty darned short, as are many of the skirts and dresses, so long-legged and modest women beware! But overall, this guy gets the thumbs up. It even washes well!

If you're curious about the line yourself, you're in luck! Land's End Canvas is letting me give away one of their darling Slub Cotton Scarves to a reader.

The winner will get to select any scarf currently in stock. There are so many fab colors and cute patterns, you're gonna have a tough time picking!

Here's what you've got to do to enter:
  1. Be a U.S. resident.

  2. Leave a comment on this post telling us how you'd style this scarf, and A VALID E-MAIL. Comments without a valid e-mail in the comment will be disqualified.

  3. Cross your fingers!

Enter by midnight CST on Sunday, July 11. I'll draw a winner at random the following week. This contest is open to U.S. readers only. Good luck, everyone!

I seem to be obsessed by stripes these, days. Summer is also my time of year to wear white, which always feels fresh. So I'd wear the striped scarf, in any of the luscious colors, around my neck hanging down the front, to keep the line as unfussy as possible and to pop the color.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Ooooh, summer scarves! Here in Seattle I wear scarves all year round. I wear mostly neutrals so I'd pick a color like that pretty blue to match my one blue eye (the other one's brown). I'm thinking paired with black Tshirt dress, black cropped leggings, blue jean jacket, and Tsubo ankle strap flats. Or maybe a graphic T, my offwhite safari jacket and jeans. So many possibilities!

Love the green striped scarf - I'd pair it with my navy skirt, white or yellow tank, light gray shrug. Perfect for my very air conditioned office.

My first comment here!

I'd wrap the green and white striped one around my head and hair as a contrast to a bright blue t-shirt with black shorts. Add my large vintage blue and green floral brooch, and grey metallic (not quite silver) strappy flats, and I'd be ready for a summer happy hour.

In the winter, I'd pair the same scarf with a baggy brown v-neck sweater, layered over a scoop neck white camisole. Dark jeans and my winter staple cowboy boots, and I'd be super comfy with a pop of color near my face.

My daughter and I like the purple one and would each try to wear it as a belt for a dress. We like the way you tie your belts on your land end dresses. Fuchsia or black background or maybe gray, yummy!

Ohh these are so pretty! I would style them by hanging them over my shoulders and pinning them together with a classy broach. I love how versatile these are and how you can wear them in any season!

I just got my first ever pair of slim pants, so I've been experimenting with the bulky top/slim bottom silhouette. I'd wear a striped scarf (maybe the navy/grey combo to indulge my nerdy side--Ravenclaw colors!) with a flowy grandpa-style cardigan and my new jeans.

I would use it weekly:) - I fly for work and the cardigan over dress to allow for weather at both locations is a bit old so I have started throwing a scarf over it:) I have a few of the new canvas line and I love it!

redrover189 said...

Mmmmmm...I'd style it as a headscarf, with distressed denim cut-off bermudas and a sleeveless white handkerchief cotton blouse. Nantucket retro casual. Love it!

And now I'm off to peruse the Canvas site, because you've totally piqued my interest with that adorable dress. It looks amazing on you and the color is awesome!

I love wearing a striped scarf with a floral print in the same color family, or plain ones just to add a little something extra to basics...Love Lands End quality, been wanting to try out their scarves :-)

I think my favorite look for scarves like these is to wear them with a crisp white shirt and boot-cut jeans.

But I adore scarves and have them in all colors and styles; I wear them with EVERYTHING.

I love scarves in the summer as well as when it's cooler, so I'd wear my scarf with my cuffed boyfriend shorts, a white slub tee, wedge/espadrilles, and some cute hoop earrings and gold bangles.

I'd go for the chili pepper scarf, and i'd wear it with just about anything! Most of my clothes are neutral colors, and i would LOVE something that added a little 'oomph' and was a quick to spice up my pink summer dress or gray and white t-shirt.

I love love love scarves. I would wear the beautiful Cordovan Stripe one (that's maroon, right?) with a silver blue shirt and jeans for a Pi Phi alumna event. I love to wrap mine around my neck once then tie in the front.

I'd tie the kelly-green striped scarf on to my handbag, so it's ready to tie up my hair when we're cruising down the highway.

I live in San Francisco and scarves are a must - especially in the summer! Most of the ones I have now are wool or wool blend so sometimes a little heavy for the foggy weather. I just bought a light tan trench/car coat and I think a pop of color out of the collar would be awesome. Maybe Chili Pepper or Seaport? Or maybe True Navy Stripe would give a nice classic look? The possibilities! I've been lurking on your blog for while and really enjoy checking it out every day. Thanks for the contest!

I love the color of the blue one, but because I have like three already, I'll play with the green one. I live in an area where scarves are more decorative than anything else, so I'd use it either on my hair, if I could wrap it around my head properly, and some huge earrings. With clothes, I'd tie it around my waist with a white dress for a neat, bright look, or just throw it around my neck on a cooler day with some of my black clothes since I have so very many.

The solid blue scarf is darling. I'd most likely wear that scarf with a grey t-shirt, denim pencil skirt, and embellished sandals. Right now, scarves are my favorite accessory. They somehow make me warmer in the air conditioning even if I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

I'm a scarf lover and a scarf wearer. Hardly a day goes by when I don't wear a scarf. It's my signature look. I tie them in many different ways. And I pair them with all my outfits, suits, jeans, skirts, dress slacks. What a great giveaway. I've got my fingers crossed!

I'd go with a patterned one, and pair it with a classic white tee and dark skinny jeans for a pop of color and print. Add some pretty ballets in the summer or tall boots in the fall and I'd be a stylin' mom.
