When the good folks at Miz Mooz contacted me to see if I'd like to do a review and giveaway, I jumped at the chance. I'd long admired the brand's style aesthetic, but never bought a pair for myself, so I was eager to check them out. I was sent this pair of Gayle boots to review and keep.*
As you can see, they're foldover style boots. The shaft hangs well below the sole, creating a silhouette similar to a pantleg. However ...
The versatile Gayles can be converted to tall boots with a quick unzip and re-zip. How fun is THAT?
The quality of these boots cannot be overstated. They are incredibly comfortable, the leather is sinfully soft, and the design is unique and fun. However, I am pretty sure that this style is designed for someone with legs longer than mine. When folded over, I need to squish the shaft down a bit or it hits my calf at its widest point, creating a strange silhouette indeed. When worn tall, the shaft actually hits just a wee bit above the knee ... not high enough for a true OTK look, but not low enough to sit quietly. Again, squishing the shaft down a bit for a scrunch look helps, but I imagined being able to wear these un-scrunched. All that said, I'm still delighted to have added them to my collection.

I clicked on the lookbook, but I really didn't have to because the ones you were wearing would be my pick right away. I have a purple dress that I think would look fantastic with tall gray boots, and I am afraid fall will slip away before I get my chance to put the outfit together.
My second choice would be a pair of the booties in gray, teal or red, because I would probably never buy teal or red myself but would try them out if I had them.

For some reason the look book doesn't open correctly on my computer. I can see part of the pages and flip them, but they're cut off. And I guess the names are cut off too because I found boots I like but I don't see a style name anywhere! They are flat, nearly knee-high boots with some buckle detail on the ankle. Looking at the infinityshoes.com link, I think they might be the "King" boot?

I just bought those glorious pseudo-Victorian button boots in red, as replacements (successors, really) to my very favorite pair of boots ever, which were nearly the same shade. I've found them to be some of the most comfortable and versatile boots I've ever owned (much like their tattered-but-beloved predecessors).
That said, that pair of flat boots with the bandage-type details across the front (pictured in green) is definitely ringing my bells. I adore Miz Mooz for making boots that are not only gorgeous and comfy, but come in unusual colors!

My favorite from the lookbook is the Bloom low wedge boot. I love the buttons and I've been looking for a pair of walkable black boots. These would be perfect (though I am lusting after the red ones too). I have tried on the Solis knee-high lace up boot. It's beautiful and very flattering, but the heel is a little high for walking.

I love Miz Mooz so much! My current favorite boots are from their last Fall 2009 collection. This year's crop looks great, too, but I think my favorites are the Gina. Or the Hannah lace-up boot. Or the Sloane.
The Gretas are my favorites of the shoes, but for boots I would want either the Gayles you are wearing or the Ibsens or Shelleys. I am going to be checking those out anyway!

I love, love ,love the Hannah and Bloom boots. However, my calves are fairly large and often don't fit into over the calf/mid calf boots. (Is here some way we could get the calf measurements for them?) So,as an alternate choice I think the Damien short boot. I love the Hannah boots in brown. Finding boots that are stylish and fit around my huge calves are hard to come by (I'm not a huge fan of that strap of elastic that clings), but lace up boots work great!

I can't decide on the Greta or the Alcott. Both are really cute designs. I already own two pairs of Miz Mooz boots. I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with their Bonnie slouch boot (not in the look book). I pretty much love all of the fall styles, but my favorite was the Francis boot.
I will choose the Bloom in Red. Practical heel to run after a toddler while the cute button details makes the boots interesting.

I *love* Miz Mooz boots. I have the Bonnie slouch in brown (best for travel--they roll up into nothing!), the Tweezer ankle boot in black, and the Charley slouch boot in cognac. I wear them all the time and each pair is incredibly comfortable. This season I am lusting after the Solis high heel boot in Navy and Tan. Swoon.

My computer at work was having trouble with the lookbook but I loved the Miz Mooz styles that I could see in "Shop Online." They have a really great pair of "Histeric Oxfords" that really drew my attention in the black and cream color.
Your boots look great, too, Sal. I have wide calves and short legs so I prefer shorter boots or booties instead.

I am actually wearing a pair of Miz Mooz today. I got the Sloane's this summer and I love them. They are super-comfortable. I'd love another pair of Miz Mooz shoes and I'd pick yours! I love the Gayle boots. I love the color, the heel height and because I'm quite tall, I think they'd be perfect for me.
