Casualmere Review and Giveaway

I was thrilled when the folks at Casualmere contacted me to host a review and giveaway. I love being able to give stuff away to you all, but love it twice as much when it's GREEN.

This company creates butter-soft knits from from high-quality viscose made from bamboo and their garments feature the highest ecologically sourced bamboo content – typically 100 percent, though a few pieces include 5 percent spandex for a bit of stretch. The women's line is fairly small, but has some great basics: Tees, scarves, and my favorite, some darling tee-shirt dresses.

I was sent a short-sleeved bamboo tee-shirt dress to review and keep. I'll be honest: On its own, it's not exactly my most thrilling or flattering garment. Which might be, in part, because I requested a size large and probably could've made do with a medium.

HOWEVER! This dress is already part of about 15 outfits in my outfit list for fall and winter, because it's utterly perfect for layered looks like this one.

The dress is a bit clingy and benefits from a slip, but it's fabulously soft, comfortable, and lightweight enough to make an ideal base-layer. I intend to wear the living daylights out of it!

Lucky for you, I've got a little black bamboo dress to give away! Here's how you enter to win:
  1. Be a U.S. resident.

  2. Visit the Casualmere website.

  3. Leave a comment on this post telling how you'd style this dress, and A VALID E-MAIL. Comments without a valid e-mail in the comment will be disqualified.

  4. Either like Casualmere on Facebook, or follow Casualmere on Twitter, or sign up for their e-newsletter (bottom right corner of the page).

  5. Cross your fingers!

Enter by midnight CST on Sunday, November 14. I'll draw a winner at random the following week. This contest is open to U.S. residents only. Good luck, everyone!

I'd probably style it similarly, with some type of outerwear and tights/leggings. I think I'd play it up with different shoes. I love the boots with the jacket, but heels would dress it up with one of my colorful boho scarves, and would require perhaps a different jacket jacket.

I could also throw a pendant and a belt on it at just the right spot (perhaps under the bust) with the boots and leggings (maybe black, maybe colored, maybe another grey/neutral), and I'd dress it up with either bangles or showy earrings (peacock feathers or large silver hoops would make it sweet).

Hmm. I if I had the black one I'd wear it like this: With a grey cardigan over it, and then my black leather motorcycle jacket over that. I would wear some lacy tights and my chunky black combat boots, with socks peeking out the top.

Most likely with tights, leggings, or some variety of pants, and boots and a mess of jewelry.

Ideally, though, I'll wear it by itself, so I can feel like I'm wearing pajamas ALL DAY, or somehow naked.

I'd layer it with my purple boyfriend cardigan, scarf and lace tights with my engineer boots in the fall/winter or with a bright belt, tons of accessories and my strappy wedges in the summer! I love these kinds of dresses!

I really like simply cut (and comfortable) clothing (JUST like this dress), so then I can rev up the funk with lots of accessories! Handmade, of course!
It's so easy to transform your clothing with different accessories!

Jersey dresses are my favorite, and these look so cozy! I would wear a black one with blue and black striped OTK socks, a blue cardi or hoodie, and black ankle boots.

I can think of so many ways to remix a dress like this - it would be fantastic with a cozy cropped sweater, tights, boots and a big fluffy scarf for cold weather. For warmer temps, it would be cute with sandals and a light scarf tied around the waist.

Ooh! I like!

Right now I'm pregnant as can be, so I would style this with a fancy scarf, some patterned tights, a short jacket, and let my belly tell its story.

LOVE this!!!

Sal, I would honestly take my cues from you here, and go with a long cardigan, sleek leggings and my best boots - plus a kicky scarf.

Thank you for the chance and God bless you!

Love it - I'd probably wear it with my new long cardi from gap, belted with a thin scarf...probably with fun tights and flats, since I'm not a boots girl (yet, anyway!) I liked them on facebook!

Looks super comfy! I would probably belt it with a scarf and cardi, and then throw on some knitted tights and boots.

I love how comfortable it looks! I'd pair it with a cardigan like you did, but throw in some huge jewelry and a hair bow.
