PONO Review and Giveaway

The lovely folks at PONO by Joan Goodman contacted me recently to see if I'd be interested in working with them on a review and giveaway. And I SO was. I've admired this fun and funky line of jewelry for several years, and jumped at the chance to see some pieces for myself.

I was sent this truly lovely cuff*:

I have fairly small wrists so this sculpted resin cuff is a bit large on me, but I absolutely adore the design. I'm bummed that it's still so cold that long sleeves are the order of the day. Can't wait to wear short sleeves and tanks so I can show off this gorgeous piece.

And PONO sent me a second piece, that is up for grabs! Check out this funky wood and chain bracelet:

Such an unusual piece! It's lightweight, eye-catching, and totally perfect for spring and summer wear. Can't you just imagine it with a darling sun dress?

And it can be yours! You lucky gal!  If you're interested in winning the second bracelet (wood and chain), here's what you've got to do to enter:
  1. Visit PONO by Joan Goodman and scope out the items in the line.

  2. Leave a comment on this post telling us how you'd style the wood and chain bracelet if you won it, and A VALID E-MAIL. Comments without a valid e-mail in the comment will be disqualified.

  3. This contest is open to international readers. I'll be mailing the bracelet myself, so it might come slowly ... but it'll come!

  4. Cross your fingers!

Enter by midnight CST on Sunday, March 6, 2011. I'll draw a winner at random the following week. This giveaway is open to everyone, including international readers. Good luck!

Scarpasa Shoes Review and Giveaway

When the good folks at Scarpasa dropped me a line to see if I'd like to do another review and giveaway, I squealed. You all know I love heels, but I also love walking and comfort and feet that AREN'T covered in blisters at the end of the day. As I've mentioned previously, Scarpasa specializes in flats, wedges, and heels that are comfortable and walkable. Heels are short and sturdy, flats are designed for walking, wedges are moderate and reasonable. Add that every pair on the site is gorgeous, stylish, and funky, and you've got a win-win-win situation.

I was sent these adorable navy blue Zinda Sarah pumps to review.*

I had thrifted a pair of navy pumps a few years back, but finally re-donated them last month. They were at least a half size too big and the heel was far too high, so they hurt like heck to wear. I'm so delighted to have these darling pumps as a replacement. They're comfortable, walkable, and ever so cute. I'm a sucker for a round toe, so these hit me right where I live.

Now let's get YOU in a pair of Scarpasa shoes, shall we? I've got a $200 credit to Scarpasa to give away to one lucky reader!

Here's what you've got to do to enter:
  1. Visit Scarpasa and pick out your favorite pair.

  2. Follow Scarpasa on Twitter, fan Scarpasa on Facebook, or sign up to receive the Scarpasa e-newsletter at the bottom left corner of this page. One of these three is required to qualify for entry.

  3. Leave a comment on this post telling us which pair you'd pick from Scarpasa, and A VALID E-MAIL. Comments without a valid e-mail in the comment will be disqualified.

  4. This contest is open to international readers BUT a non-U.S. winner will have to pay shipping costs.

  5. Cross your fingers!

Enter by midnight CST on Sunday, February 27. I'll draw a winner at random the following week.

Shop it to Me Giveaway

I know, I know, I've sung the praises of Shop it to Me before. But people, it remains my absolute fave of all the e-mail-based online shopping tools. Sample sales are lovely, but I can rarely afford any of their offerings, and their referrals are contingent on PURCHASES instead of sign-ups. Other e-mail sale roundups are hard to read and manage, try to "guess" what you'll like instead of just letting you pick, and don't have the clean, easy feel that SITM has maintained throughout their entire existence.

Wait, let me back up.

In case you're unfamiliar, Shop it to Me is an e-mail service. You sign up for a free account, fill out some questions, and then select your faves from a list of brands and shops. Then, twice per week (or more frequently,if you'd prefer), an e-mail hits your inbox that lists out, pictures, and links to anything from those brands that has gone on sale in recent days. Shop it to Me includes nearly all major online retailers and is constantly adding more, so these e-mails are pretty durned comprehensive. And hazardous to the pocketbook.

As a fantastic bonus, you'll get a $10 gift card to retailers like Banana Republic, J.Crew, and Nordstrom for every 10 friends you refer. Sign-ups, not sales. Easy and simple, just the way I like it.

The marvelous folks at Shop it to Me allowed me to pick an item from my SITM Sale Mail a few weeks back, and I nabbed these amazing periwinkle blue Diesel booties.* They were 50% off and quite a bargain, and I can't wait to incorporate them into some spring-y outfits. When it finally warms up, that is ...

Additionally, I've got $50 that a lucky winner can use to apply toward any item from her personal SITM Sale Mail! Here's how you enter to win:

  1. Be a U.S. resident.

  2. Sign up for an account with Shop it to Me, if you don't have one already.
  3. Choose an item from a recent Sale Mail, or click onto your customized sale items by selecting "All My Sales" on the Shop it to Me website.
  4. Leave a comment on this post telling which item you'd pick if you won, and A VALID E-MAIL. Comments without a valid e-mail in the comment will be disqualified.
  5. Cross your fingers!

Enter by midnight CST on Sunday, February 13. I'll draw a winner at random the following week. This contest is open to U.S. residents only. Good luck everyone!
