A Beautiful Abode Giveaway

Since so many style bloggers and style blog readers are also decor lovers, I can only imagine that this giveaway will make many of you ECSTATIC. A few months ago, Shauntelle contacted me about collaborating on a giveaway for her redesign service, A Beautiful Abode, and I jumped at the chance.  I'll let her give you a little background:

A Beautiful Abode is a design blog dedicated to providing tips, resources, and inspiration for creating a beautiful home on a tight budget. I founded A Beautiful Abode in 2008 when I was unable to find design blogs that focused on the kind of information I wanted. At the time I was a stay-at-home mom trying to create a beautiful home for our five-person family on one income. I wanted resources that showed me how to do that without going into debt, and I also needed projects that didn't require carpentry training!

After hearing that a lot of readers suffered from the same issues I had when I first started Beautiful (not knowing where to start or how to translate design ideas into a budget friendly project) I launched my budget-friendly virtual design service. For $75, I work with my clients to clarify their goals for a room, and then create an actionable, step-by-step design plan for them to follow to achieve their goal within their budget. This virtual design package is the prize I'm offering one of you lucky readers.

How fabulous is THAT? The winner of this contest will get to have Shauntelle do a virtual makeover for one room inside your own home!  If you're interested in winning this super cool prize, here's what you've got to do to enter:
  1. Visit A Beautiful Abode and check out Shauntelle's handiwork.

  2. Like A Beautiful Abode on Facebook or follow her blog via a reader. (This step is required for entry.)
  3. Leave a comment on this post telling us how you're following A Beautiful Abode, which room in your house you'd love for her to make over, and A VALID E-MAIL. Comments without a valid e-mail in the comment will be disqualified.

  4. Cross your fingers!

Enter by midnight CST on Sunday, March 20, 2011. I'll draw a winner at random the following week. This giveaway is open to everyone, including international readers. Prize is for consultation on ONE ROOM ONLY. Good luck, folks!

Thanks for sharing her site! I just added her to my google reader and look forward to using some of her ideas. As for the giveaway, I'm moving into a brand new townhome in Japan and I'd love a second opinion on how to make it feel like a home. heatherrocks128@gmail.com

I love interior design, but I find it very hard to do it on a budget. This would be very helpful.

I am always happy to get a new blog to add to my Google Reader!

I was wondering if it matters that I rent my apartment instead of owning it. If not, I'd like to get some ideas for my living room/dining area (all one room). As I am just about to finish graduate school, I`d like to move away from the "student living" look. :)

I've been following A Beautiful Abode on Facebook and in my reader since the beginning. I love her down to earth explanation of decor - a subject that has always baffled me!

Which room would I like Shauntelle help me make over? um....all of them? Seriously, I'd have to choose either my living room or our homeschool classroom.

Oooh, I like her blog! Thanks for the contest, ladies!

I am now following via google reader, and would be delighted to have some decorating advice for the family room of the house I'm buying. It's my first home, and I'm clueless about how to begin upgrading my student/garage sale furniture into something resembling a real home.

I subscribed using Google Reader, which is how I read all blogs. I already have a folder set up for decorating since I love those blogs, and I added yours!

I'd love to have some help with my living room, it's much larger than the living room in my previous house and I don't know what to do with it.

My e-mail is cosmos two eight four at yahoo dot com

Please use digits instead of words for the address.
