I've been a fan of button-front shirts for years, and am constantly looking for high-quality, shaped versions that aren't too fussy or difficult to launder. So I was delighted to hear from the folks at Foxcroft, who have been making classic button-front blouses and shirts for decades. I was sent this Classic Cotton Blouse to review.*'
This shirt has some great shaping details, but still has a relatively loose, forgiving fit. This classic white turned out to be a bit on the sheer side, but that can easily be mitigated by layering a nude cami underneath. Having washed and dried my shirt, I can say that its no-iron promise is quite accurate - it comes out of the dryer looking freshly pressed! Mine shrunk just a smidgen, but not enough to cause any fitting problems. I am usually a size 6 or 8 on top, and was sent a size 6. I could probably have taken a size 4 in this style, so I'd say it runs a size bigger than is typical of most mall brands. It's a truly terrific button-front, and I know that mine will get loads of wear!

I have 3 Fox Croft shirts (White, Black and Red) that I LOVE. But they are so worn I should replace them. Nordstroms at MOA only seems to have Petite sizes now. If I won, I would like a white. I can never have too many white shirts.

Oooh, what a great giveaway. I love menswear and preppy styles--the biggest problem I have right now with the handful of button-fronts I have is that none of them layer right under the sweaters I have. I can't figure out if the sweaters are too fitted or if the button-fronts aren't fitted enough. Anyhow, excuse my rambling; the plain white would be a gem! (Much as I love the concord...)
