Alivia May Review , Giveaway, and Coupon Code

As you all know, I'm a fan of statement jewelry. And I've tried to whip up a few multi-media necklaces myself. They look fantastic ... and fall apart in seconds. So when the good folks at up-and-coming jewelry designer Alivia May approached me about a review and giveaway, I jumped at the chance!

I was sent this gorgeous hand-knotted statement necklace to review and keep.*

The necklace fits pretty close to my neck, so I used an extender chain for this outfit and these photos. But the piece itself is substantial without being too heavy, extremely well made, and simply gorgeous to behold. I'm thrilled to have found such a talented designer whose designs are fun, funky, and contemporary.

Alivia May is offering up a different design to one lucky Already Pretty reader. You could win this gorgeous Pearl Statement Necklace:

I'd wear this necklace with...well, exactly what I'm wearing today: navy faux-wrap dress and grey cardigan. It's just the thing to perk up my officewear!

(Also, Hi Sal! I don't think I've seen you since you & Mike shot my wedding in 2008.)

Lovely! I'd actually style this on my Mom. She would absolutely adore this -- I'd style it with every single one of my sheath dresses!!! But, I also know Mom would say -- "ooooo, I love that necklace!" She seems to get many of my statement pieces. : )

Love it. I'd totally pair it with an awesome cami and blazer ensemble. In fact, I have a killer green blazer that would be amazing with it. (Thanks for all of the inspiration btw - I recently discovered your blog!)

I can see myself wearing this every day of the dang week for work. It would go with my camel pants and a nice blouse, or a simple dress. Lovely! danielle.alkire *AT*

I saw that and immediately thought of my work wardrobe, and of my tuxedo front button down shirts! That would cap off those necklines with a flourish fitting of those blouses!! Of course, I have a black dress that it would do well with, or my watermelon pink sundress. Even my navy/white striped top I've been wearing to death this summer. Oh the possibilities!

Is it horrid that I am already thinking of how to style a kitschy December Holiday outfit inspired by the tacky balls one puts on a Christmas tree? I love it! I would rock this all Holiday in appropriate gear. Of course, this necklace screams for my cute grey tank and olive shorts paired with my silver flats.

Signed up for the email. I would wear this with a one of my plain black dresses to draw attention up to my face and make it more interesting.

I'd wear it with a white tank (yes I know it'd kind of clash, but in a cool way) and my red velvet blazer). Drool worthy necklace.

I have a great black and white print wrap dress that this would go great with. Plus I have a simple grey cashmere sweater that is begging to be paired with that necklace!

I'd wear it with mixed neutral - grey sheath dress, olive jacket, and brown sandals and handbag.

That necklace is D-I-V-I-N-E!! :)
I think the options are limitless with a statement piece such as this. Its trendy yet classic so I could see pairing this with my daily work wear or even something as simple as a shirt/jeans/blazer combo.

However, I would go beyond this and say its something that would give my bathing suit a kick! As a curvy woman out on the beach each weekend I can feel pretty intimated by all the "skinny" tan ladies so having a interesting accessory that complements my new blue "Marilyn" swimsuit would make me feel unique and awesome!!

Thanks for having the contest!

Love this necklace! I'd love to jazz up a causal outfit: it'd add just the right amount of sparkle to a white t shirt, coral skinny jeans, and a neutral pair of heels.

I would like to use it to make a menswear-inspired look more feminine. I am thinking of pairing it with black cigarette pants, white tuxedo shirt, and a black blazer.

I would wear it with half my wardrobe. My style of dress is somewhat classic/conservative but I like to add an edge or sexy feather. This would look great under one of my white or black button downs.

This necklace is dazzling. I'd love it with a white button down shirt and my new heathered gray slacks. Let the necklace shine on its own (plus I worry about overaccessorizing).

So pretty! I just bought this really feminine sort of retro-shaped dress, only it's colorblocked (black, slate blue, and peach). I think this necklace would look great with it!
