Nutcase Helmet Giveaway

I'm more than a little excited about this week's giveaway, friends. It's coming to you courtesy of the creative minds over at Nutcase Helmets.

Founded by Michael Morrow, a former Nike creative director, Nutcase Helmets creates and sells fun and funky multi-purpose sport helmets for recreational use in snowboarding, skiing, cycling, inline skating, skateboarding and a variety of water sports. The company has more than 400 specialty retailers nationwide in the U.S. plus retailers in Canada, Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina. (Wow.)

I've got one of the Modern Dots model helmets to give away to a lucky Already Pretty reader. This is a "street" helmet appropriate to non-water, non-snow, non-motor sports such as cycling, skateboarding, and inline skating. Here's what you've got to do to enter:
  1. Be a U.S. resident.
  2. Visit the Nutcase Helmets website to ogle their fantastic wares
  3. Leave a comment on this post telling us how you'd use your Modern Dots helmet (cycling, skating, boarding) if you won, and A VALID E-MAIL. Comments without a valid e-mail in the comment will be disqualified. (Best policy: note your e-mail like this: sally [at] alreadypretty [dot] com)
  4. Cross your fingers!
Enter by midnight CST on Sunday, October 21, 2012. I'll draw a winner at random the following day. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.

Good luck!

Oh wow, the dot pattern is my favorite of the graphics patterns! I'd use this helmet biking around town on my (finally) freshly tuned-up bike that's recently rescued from basement purgatory!

OMG! I bought a bike a couple of years ago and ride somewhat regularly. I have had my eye on a nutcase, but could never pick which one I wanted. Now I want this one!!! My bike is purple, so this will look awesome. monquee at g m a i l dot com

A friend of mine's son was hit by a car today. Thank God he was wearing a helmet. As it is, he is still pretty hurt. If I won the helmet, I'd give it to one of the bigger kids at my school who doesn't have a helmet.

I'd definitely use it for cycling, and maybe sometimes for when my preschooler does flips off the back of the couch while I'm trying to read? ;) claireanisa [at] yahoo [dot] com

My husband has been talking a lot lately about getting bikes and going riding together. One of my hangups about going more often is how incredibly dorky I feel in a bike helmet. This looks like one I would actually look forward to wearing!

Love that helmet! I would wear it on my bike commute to work, and hope that the cute pattern would distract people from noticing my skirt creeping all the way up to my crotch while I'm riding.

Definitely while riding my bike. I've been faced with a problem of wanting to almost always wear skirts, but finding it sometimes awkward on a bike :D At least this helmet would ease the pain a bit.

I'd use this to finally get out on my bike and get around town more. I am still recovering from the childhood stigma of helmets being dorky-looking (even though I know I NEED to wear one, because brain injury is not worth looking "cool"), and this would help my inner critic shut up and keep my melon safe!

Adrienna said...

This is exactly what I'm looking for, actually! I've been riding helmet-free, which is just silly. I would use this for bicycling on the Towpath and around the neighborhood.

I've put off hauling out my bicycle for a YEAR because I haven't had a helmet and refused to buy a dorky one! This helmet is very cute-- I would wear it to bike my way through a day of local errands.

I just bought a bike this weekend. The first one I've had since I was a kid.

I'm known as "the carless wonder" so this is going to be my chief source of transit - and the helmets are so cute! Pretty pretty please!

Oh man, I could sure use a new helmet! Mine is super-old and the plastic cover keeps cracking. (Really, I need a new helmet whether I win this one or not.) I bike to work most days, so my coworkers would get to ooh and ahh at my new stylishness! (While conveniently ignoring the bunny ears I make with my pantlegs so they don't get caught in the chain...)

I want to encourage more women in my college town to ride their bikes instead of driving to work or errands. So I wear cute, stylish clothes on my ride to work, in an effort to show how accessible and fashion friendly biking can be. I want women to know you can look great on a bike, that sweat wipes off, and that it's safe and fun to ride. A nutcase helmet would top the effort off perfectly.
