Fall Focus with Pinterest and Rivet & Sway

Although I don't wear specs myself, I'm thrilled to be presenting this week's giveaway with designer eyewear company, Rivet & Sway. And here's why:

Rivet & Sway is a boutique online eyewear company exclusively for women. They employ a stylist whose role is to help women choose the perfect frame for their face shape, coloring, and personal style. Since picking a pair of frames can be a tricky proposition - especially via an online vendor - this company has figured out a way to make the experience customizable and personal. Love that!

Rivet & Sway wants to give away a pair of frames and lenses to one lucky Already Pretty reader, including a session with their stylist! We're hoping to unleash your creativity in this contest, so we're utilizing Pinterest, my personal favorite web time-waster. Here's what you've got to do to enter:
  1. Be a U.S. resident
  2. Follow Rivet & Sway and Already Pretty on Pinterest.
  3. Pin a frame from
  4. Create a pinboard around the frame and call it "Fall Focus." Create a look, tell a story, create a mood! Peek at Rivet & Sway's board as an example.
  5. Leave a comment on this post with a link to your board  and A VALID E-MAIL. Comments without a valid e-mail in the comment will be disqualified. (Best policy: note your e-mail like this: sally [at] alreadypretty [dot] com)
  6. Enter by midnight CST on Monday, November 19, 2012.

One winner will be chosen for the most detailed and creative board so have fun with it!

Contest details:
  • Open to U.S. residents only.
  • One winner will receive their choice of one Rivet & Sway frame, including ultra-thin prescription lenses and anti-scratch and glare-free coatings.
  • Prize must be redeemed by 12/31/12.
  •  Note that Rivet & Sway currently offers only single vision lenses; they cannot fulfill "progressives" or bifocals at this time

Be sure to enter by midnight CST on Monday, November 19, 2012. Good luck!

I found a number of frames I like but settled on the Character Study in Mardi Gras! Goes with the olive and purple/burgundy kick I am currently on!

I am in love with so many of those frames-the Je Ne Sais Quois in particular, especially in the tortoiseshell. Fantastic! Goes well with my twisted traditional style. Unassuming, but kicky!

I'm a total glasses hoarder and am coveting the Punchline specs in Neopolitan.

Oh, man, I have been searching for a pair of cat eye glasses for almost a year, after finding my (far too expensive) dream pair on a trip to NYC. Love the Spitfires!! Especially in red.

I. Love. This. The super-fab nerd in me is drooling all over my keybaord. How fun! My favorite frames are the Ruby Red Spitfire. My very first glasses in fourth grade were red. Didn't transition out of red until someone made fun of me in eighth grade. I miss their sass! Here's my board:

I love that my love for glasses led me to Pinterest, it was so fun creating my first board! (I can sense many more to come...this could be quite a time drain!)

Thank you for this giveaway!

Sheesh, Sweet Sal! All my favorites in one place - Already Pretty, Glasses and Pinterest! AND it's given me lots of cool new people/boards to follow! I'm already a winner!

Settled on Faster Pussycat - not only because I've been wanting some cat eye frames, but it also has a bad @ss name!

Sadly, they don't cover my prescription strength (not a surprise, really). I might consider them for frames one day when I'm feeling flush, though.

I love wearing glasses! It is definitely a big part of my personal style. Here I'm loving the Faster Pussycat frames, although it is difficult to choose just one!

I've fallen hard for the Poetic License frames in Royal Tortoise.

My favorites, I think, are the Rizzo, "crushed velvet" or the Je ne Sais Quoi "Water lily". They're both spec-tacular!

Here's my board - I'm still adding to it, but didn't want to forget to enter.

Thanks for a great contest!
